9 weeks to go to DC! Remember that your taper starts 3 weeks before the race, so effectively there's only 6 weeks left to train hard!

Time & Directions

Since the destination we had originally planned to run at - the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge - is closed due to hunting season, we're defaulting to the NCR.

Meet at the Paper Mill lot at 8:00 am (directions).

Training Goals

  • Half-Marathoners: 11 Mi. Your turn-around is at the 6 Mile mark.
  • Full-Marathoners: 14 Mi (Monkton and back), give or take. How are you feeling after last week's 17 Miler? If you're feeling strong, don't hesitate to up the mileage to 16 or 17!

Course Info

By now, I'm sure you're familiar with the NCR! It's going to be ridiculously warm this weekend, so pack you shorts and short-sleeves! Most importantly, remember to bring water and fuel. You should be drinking 16 oz of water per hour on the run.
