We were scheduled to run at Loch Raven this weekend, but because of all the snow, we're moving it into the city. But we will still have breakfast at Leslie's as scheduled! RSVP here.

We'll meet at the O'Connor Recreation Center on the Homewood campus at 8 AM. Park on one of the streets near campus, such as University Parkway or Charles Street, but look out for time limits on parking. Sign up for carpooling if you need a ride or can provide one.

The route is a 4-mile loop through Evergreen and Roland Park. The marathoners need 12 miles, so they should do 3 loops. The half marathoners need 9 miles, so they should do 2 and call it a day.

As of Friday morning, there were both plowed and unplowed sidewalks. Loyola and Notre Dame have done a fantastic job clearing their sidewalks on Charles. The residents on Wyndhurst...not so much. So be prepared for a mixed bag. But this area generally does a better job than almost any other in the city.

  • From the Rec Center, run north towards University Parkway.
  • Turn left on University Parkway and follow it for two miles.
  • Turn right on Wyndhurst Avenue and follow it for half a mile.
  • Turn right on Charles Street. At the intersection of Charles and St. Paul, turn slight left onto St. Paul.
  • At the next intersection, turn slight right onto...Charles.
  • Continue down Charles until you get to University Parkway, and turn sharp right. This completes one loop (4 miles).

  • It will be about 16F (-9C) when we start, but warm up to about 30F (-1C) during the run, so wear removable layers.
  • Where the sidewalks have been plowed, there may still be ice, so take it slow!
